By the Partners … For the Partners ....

Indian Navy Veteran Artificers Trust - INVA TRUST (INVAT) is launched to extend its support to needy Partners in Distress (PID).

Originally a charitable Trust LCFCT (Leslie Cynthia Fernandes Charitable Trust) was started personally by Partner Leslie, Class 18-ERA. He had seen veteran partners in distress in his long carrier, some partners were in bad shapes physically and financially due to severe illness, terminal disease, and some lost their savings and earnings in family welfare, while their children were not settled as they were going to school or college. He observed while most of the partners after leaving the Indian Navy are doing exceptionally well, some are in bad shapes physically as well as financially due to severe illness, terminal disease or lost their saving and earnings in family welfare, while their children are not settled as they were going to school or college even there are a few partners who left Navy without any pension or little pension. The problem of inadequate income after retirement, loss of a spouse, social isolation, family relationship, physical and financial dependency made them to suffer.

INVA Trust is a charitable fund contributed by the Veteran Partners to help a Partner.

Partner Venu Gopal Nambiar Class-17 SWA became the Advisor of LCFCT to recommend deserving veteran Partners for financial assistance. Partner Nambiar with a small team of Partners developed the policy and procedure, designed the application form, verification form, recommendation forms, and approval mechanism. To serve better they created different regions and assigned 2/3 partners responsible, to do the field service of visiting, investigating, reporting, and complete documentation of assessment for aid from LCFCT. These were published in EXAM Yearbook, on the web site, which conveyed the eligibility criteria.

Regional bodies were in place to survey the applicant and reported, suggested to the Central Committee, which recommended the deserving cases to LCFCT Trust for fund disbursement. Since its creation Rs. 22 Lakhs had been donated to various beneficiaries. The names of beneficiaries are held confidential is only known to the Central Committee and only to the regional associates.
